Clover Flex: Categories: Add, Edit, Delete

Categories:
You can create a category and assign items to the category, making it more efficient for you to take orders from customers.

Examples:
- A restaurant might create categories: "Soda", "Appetizers", or "Dessert"
- A retail store might create categories: "Luggage", "Petites", or "Accessories"
- NOTE: An item does not have to be assigned to a category. Also, an item may be assigned to more than one category.

Add a new category to inventory:
1. Open Inventory app
2. Tap Categories
3. Tap the green + button at the bottom right of the screen
4. Enter the name of the new category
5. Tap Done

Delete categories in inventory:
- You can delete single or multiple categories from any Clover device.

To delete a single category:
1. Tap Inventory app
2. Tap Categories
3. Search or scroll to find the category you wish to delete
4. Tap the name of category
5. Tap the Trash icon to delete the Category
6. Tap Delete

To bulk delete multiple or all categories:
1. Open Inventory app
2. Tap Categories tab
3. Tap the gray Pencil icon to delete selected categories
4. Check the box next to the items you want to add in the category, check the box next to Name to select all, or uncheck the items you want removed from the category
5. Tap Delete

Add or remove multiple items from a category:
1. Open Inventory app
2. Tap Categories
3. Search or scroll to find the category you wish to delete
4. Tap the category
5. Tap the gray Pencil icon to add and delete items from the selected category
6. Check the box next to the items you want to add in the category, check the box next to Name to select all, or uncheck the items you want removed from the category
7. Tap Save
