Refund transactions

You can use the Transactions app  to refund a transaction.

If you have the ValueLink app  installed, you can apply the refund to a ValueLink gift card.

To refund a transaction:

  1. Open the Transactions app.
  2. Tap the transaction you want to refund.
  3. Tap Refund.
  4. Tap Refund on the popup window.

  5. Select where to apply the refund.

Add tips to a transaction

If you want to add tips to a transaction, make sure that your merchant account can adjust tips.

You can’t add tips to debit transactions, EMV transactions, or transactions that have been batched or closed out.

To add tips to a transaction:

  1. Open Transactions app  Transactions app icon
  2. Tap transaction that you would like to add tips to
  3. Tap Add Tip to add a tip or Edit to edit an existing tip
  4. Enter the tip amount using the key pad on the right side of the screen
  5. Tap Done
  6. (Optional) If the tip you entered is unusually high or low for the transaction amount, tap Confirm Tip to confirm the tip amount

Note

You will NOT be able to add tips to debit or EMV transactions or if you are not tip adjust enabled on the back-end. You will also NOT be able to add tips to transactions that have been batched or closed out.


Reissue a receipt for a transaction (Transactions app)

To reissue a receipt in the Transactions app:

  1. Open Transactions app 
  2. Search and select the transaction for which you want to reissue a receipt
  3. Tap Receipts
  4. Tap the receipt type you wish to reissue or reprint
    • Print
    • Email
    • Text Message
  5. Tap Done
     

Search for transaction

To find a transaction in Transactions app:

  1. Open Transactions app Transactions app icon
  2. Tap the Search by trans #/ id field
  3. Type in the Transaction ID, transaction number, or press the scanner button to scan a receipt’s barcode

NOTE

If the Transactions app Transactions app icon does not scan correctly or find the Transaction ID, scanning a barcode will not automatically generate the Transaction ID. Please double check that the receipt is correct and attempt to scan again.
