Clover Mini: Take payment transaction using customer-facing Clover Mini

Take order from Register app (USB Pay Display)
- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Register app
(or re-open an order from Orders app
)
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer sees the message, “Welcome to [Business Name]” - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, add items to order or edit order as necessary
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer will see the order as it is being edited - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Pay when you are done editing the order and ready for the customer to pay
- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Charge $XX.XX on USB Pay Display
- (Optional) If you have tips enabled, On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see the total Sale amount and the message, “Customer is tipping…”
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer has the option to add tip - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see total Sale amount and the message, “Customer is choosing payment method…”
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer has the option to pay with whichever method they prefer - (Optional) If the customer needs to have their signature verified and you accept tips on tablet screen, on merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see the message, “Customer is signing…”
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer can add their signature
After the customer signs and taps Done, on Clover Station, you will see the customer’s signature and be prompted to verify the customer’s signature by tapping Verify
On merchant-facing Clover Mini, the customer will see the message, “Please wait. Merchant is verifying your signature.” - (Optional) If the customer needs to have their signature verified and you accept signatures on printed receipt, the customer receipt will print out from the Clover Station printer.
On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see the message, “Please instruct the customer to sign the receipt, and then verify their signature”. Tap Verify to verify the customer’s signature
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer will see the message, “Please wait. Merchant is verifying your signature.” - After the transaction is complete, on merchant-facing Clover Mini, you have the option to tap No receipt or Print receipt
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer has the option to tap No receipt, Print, Email, or Text Message receipt - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will have the option to print another receipt or tap Done
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer sees the message, “Thank you for visiting [Business Name]”
Take a payment from Manual Transaction app (USB Pay Display)
- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Manual Transaction app
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer sees the message, “Welcome to [Business Name]” - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap the amount that you would like to refund and tap Charge
- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Refund $XX.XX on Connected Mini
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer sees the total sale amount - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see the refund amount and the message, “Customer is choosing payment method…”
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer has the option to pay with whichever method they prefer - After the transaction is complete, on merchant-facing Clover Mini, you have the option to tap No receipt or Print receipt
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer has the option to tap No receipt, Print, Email, or Text Message receipt - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will have the option to print another receipt or tap Done
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer sees the message, “Thank you for visiting [Business Name]”
Issue a refund from Manual Transaction app (USB Pay Display)
- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Manual Transaction app
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer sees the message, “Welcome to [Business Name]” - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap the amount that you would like to refund and tap Refund
- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Refund $XX.XX on USB Pay Display
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer sees the total refund amount - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see the refund amount and the message, “Customer is choosing payment method…”
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer has the option to choose how they would like to be refunded - After the transaction is complete, on merchant-facing Clover Mini, you have the option to tap No receipt or Print receipt
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer has the option to tap No receipt, Print, Email, or Text Message receipt - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will have the option to print another receipt or tap Done
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer sees the message, “Thank you for visiting [Business Name]”
Make a payment with Sale app (USB Pay Display)
- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Sale app
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer sees the message, “Welcome to [Business Name]” - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, enter the sale amount and tap Credit/Debit
- (Optional) If you have tips enabled, on merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see the total Sale amount and the message, “Customer is tipping…”
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer has the option to add tip - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see total Sale amount and the message, “Customer is choosing payment method…”

- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, tap Refund $XX.XX
- On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will see the refund amount and the message, “Customer is choosing payment method…”
On customer-facing Clover Mini, customer has the option to choose how they would like to be refunded - After the transaction is complete, on merchant-facing Clover Mini, you have the option to tap No receipt orPrint receipt
On customer-facing Clover Mini, the customer has the option to tap No receipt, Print, Email, or Text Message receipt - On merchant-facing Clover Mini, you will have the option to print another receipt or tap Done
