Below are some troubleshooting steps if the device is not recognizing the SwipeSimple card reader:
- Ensure that your card reader is plugged in firmly by removing the reconnecting the card reader
- Remove any protective sleeve or casing. Some cases can prevent a strong connection
- Ensure that you are using a supported device
- Ensure that you are using the most updated version of the SwipeSimple application
- Ensure that the media volume or other audio settings on your device is maximized
- In rare cases, you may need to have the Volume set to LOW
- Try plugging into the charger at the same time to ensure it is not a battery issue.
- Ensure that the microphone permissions are turned on for the SwipeSimple App on the phone
- iPhone - Settings > Find your app int he setting's navigation bar and select it > Ensure the Microphone permission is slid on
- Android (Models may Vary)- Settings > Applications > Select the SwipeSimple App > Permissions > Make sure the Microphone Permission is slid on
