SwipeSimple: Device Management

SwipeSimple Register offers additional hardware support for cash drawers and receipt printers. To manage these devices, go to Settings > Device Management on the SwipeSimple app.
Note: A default printer has to be chosen before you are able to print receipts after completing a transaction.
- mPOP Cash Drawer and Receipt Printer
- SM-L200 Bluetooth Receipt Printer
- TSP143III USB Receipt Printer
- Set a Default Card Reader
- Select the printer using your STAR mPOP-CXXXXserial number.
Note: It may take a few seconds for your device to detect the printer when connecting for the first time.
Tip: To refresh the list of devices, simply pull and release the Device Management panel.
- Tap on “Print Test Receipt” to print a receipt via the mPOP with all the information on it (including the header and footer) before running a transaction.
- Tap on “Open Cash Drawer” to test cash drawer or open it outside of a sale.
- Tap on “Set Default Printer” if you are using an iOS device, or check the box if you are on an Android device to print a receipt during a transaction.
- Select the printer using your STAR L200-XXXXXserial number.
Note: It may take a few seconds for your device to detect the printer when connecting for the first time.

- Tap on “Print Test Receipt” to print a receipt via the SM-L200 with all the information on it (including the header and footer) before running a transaction.
- Tap on “Set Default Printer” if you are using an iOS device, or check the box if you are on an Android device to print a receipt during a transaction.
- Plug the printer into the SwipeSimple device using an appropriate cable
- The printer can plug directly into the Aries8 using a USB-B to USB-C cable
- If using an iOS or Android Device you will also need a USB-A to USB-C, USB-A to Lightning, or USB-A to micro USB. Micro USB devices require a USB OTG specific cable
- Open the SwipeSimple app on the device to which you connected your printer
- Navigate to Settings from the side menu
- If prompted Allow SwipeSimple to access Star TSP 143IIIu?, select OK
- Choose Device Management from Settings
- Under Printers, select TSP143IIIU
- Print a test receipt to ensure the device is connected then select Make Default Printer
- **Optional** Connect a CD3-1313 or CD3-1616 cash drawer to the printers serial port. The cash drawer will automatically spring open when Cash is the selected tender
- If you are using the Swift B200 or Swift B250, select the card reader using your Swift XXXX serial number.
- If you are using an Android device, tap on “Connect” to connect your device with the card reader.
- Tap on “Set Default Reader” if you are using an iOS device, or check the box if you are on an Android device automatically connect your device to that card reader when running a transaction.
- Select the printer using your STAR mPOP-CXXXXserial number.
