Dejavoo: Disable Password Protection on File via MMSx
Last Updated:May 31, 2024
What's in this article?
Dejavoo’s file will default to a manager password being required when settling and doing other basic actions. To disable the manager password, please follow the steps below.
Log into the Appropriate MMSxaccount for the reseller
Note: Access to MMSx is very limited. Check with a TR if you do not have a login for the partner with whom you are working
Locate the terminal by searching either the TPN or SN of the device
This then disables a password being required for a return, void, authorization, ticket input, reports being ran, utility menu, tip, reprinted receipt, and setup menu.
If a merchant would like a password for any of these features, simply toggle them to ON
Failure to close the batch can result in lost transactions
The File must be unlocked before it can be downloaded
When creating a File build request:
Provide merchant with case #
Provide merchant call-back information
Let the merchant know that file builds can take 24-48 hours
Have the merchant call you back at their Convenience to download the file
Once unlocked, the file will remain unlocked for 24 hours
STAX Terminals: If a site has STAX and is using FDO processing with Datawire a Full-download will break the Datawire connection, and require re-registration. Please consult a TR before doing a full download.
DOWNLOAD FAILED: Verify network connectivity. If using a phone line or WiFi, try connecting to ethernet.
If the download fails when using a Dial connection confirm no other device/phone is using the line and retry atleast once
Make sure time and date are correct.
If the download fails when using a USB drive attempt to plug in the USB drive to a computer and verify the device can be read and there are files on the drive
USB requires a Micro USB A Male to USB A Female dongle in order to plug in the thumb drive into the terminal
Rebooting the Terminal with a USB thumb drive plugged in will prompt for download.
